Sale ManagerNatural guide, sea kayaking leader, vagabond, environmentalist, PADI scuba diver, whale-maniac. Kerttu has a special place in her heart for nature and animals. From early childhood, her best friends were always non-humans, with who she shared both joy and tears. As the time goes on, the passion towards natural world grows even greater and now in adulthood, she realises the power, what an individual can withhold. While traveling almost half of our planet(above and below the watery sheet,) she has participated in numerous animal conservation programs and lived through some hilarious moments chasing her dreams. If there would be a one single thing, she studied, it would be, we as a humans have pushed a nature to extremes and instead of taking a toll on it even further, we should live mutually with nature, without creating further harm. As much as it is possible, it is. Kerttu as my better side, will take care of you (her name easiest to remember is “Care To”) mainly on day tours. Once you meet her, you’ll notice straight away, she is loving her job and has specific skilful touch to it. By knowing the local area with as a back of the palm, you are guaranteed with best pristine locations there is.

I was impressed by the quality of the materials Markus uses. Besides the excellent Land Rover the thermo suits, the boots, the floor mattresses, the thermo cans, all the stuff he brings for you is first class material and most of it was either new or close to new. This gives you the feeling that this guy is not in it for the easy money, he truly wants you to have a unique experience. I think many people will agree that spending 1500-2000 NOK per person is quite a sum of money for an evening "driving around". As we saw many vans with 8-12 people chasing the lights I really felt that we had much more value for money being with Markus. Even if we would have had more people on board (never more than 6 in total) this experience was far more personal. Combined with the excellend Land Rover, his chasing skills and enthusiasm and the quality of the materials he uses I can only recommend Greenlander wholeheartedly. This guys deserves being in the TA Top 5 for NL chasing in Tromso. Go Markus!
I went last January to Greelander looking for a respectful way to approach whales and for an intimate experience of auroras chasing. And I couldn't have asked for a better experience with Kerttu & Markus. The aurora chasing felt like beeing friends, listening to good music, laughing and eating home-made vegan cookies and roasted marshmallows by a campfire. While watching at the sky burning green. As for the whale watching, far away from big companies boats, you go kayaking towards them, at a safe distance, and let them be curious if desired. All with respect and kindness. I thank you guys again cause these memories, including meeting you both, will be printed in my mind as a wonderful and meaningful experience.
