Terms and Conditions
When joining the tour with Greenlander, you will accept the terms and conditions written below.
PHOTOS: All photos taken on the Greenlander tour will be sent to You as JPEG format files within 1-2 days at medium resolution (2000px long side, approx 1MB.) All photos sent have rights reserved – You are not allowed to re-sell any of them. We have the right to use the photos taken on the tour as promotional purposes using any media channel. If You don’t wish us to use photos of You, we kindly ask You to let us know beforehand. Since the photos will be awesome, You have a right to use them on Your personal social media platforms or any other personal use. For commercial licensing, printing and fine resolution photo orders, please contact email@example.com.
HEALTH ISSUES: You have responsibility to notify us about Your medical issues. In case for any physical/psychological reasons You are not suitable to participate the tour, Greenlander holds a right to refuse to cancel Your booking. In that case the 100% refund will be made.
LIABILITY: Greenlander claims no responsibility for any loss, damage, accident, injury, sickness or schedule change due to weather, strike or any other cause beyond Greenlander’s control. We will make every effort to safeguard our customers and their personal property, but cannot be held responsible for personal events beyond the tour operators control, or to damage sustained by tourists including those occurring outside the touring program. We expect customers to respect Greenlander’s property and use it in good will. If the equipment is damaged due the circumstances, which could have been avoided, customer is responsible to cover the cost of damaged goods.
Greenlander acts in good faith, and cannot be held responsible for any agent, hotel, coach operator, tour guide or any other person’s or company’s acts, defaults or delays. We therefore advise all customers to have comprehensive travel insurance to meet all contingencies.
PICK-UP AND DROP-OFF: Please note, that we provide pick-up and drop-off only on Troms island. In case you are staying outside the island, Your pick-up location is in front of Scandic Ishavshotel, Fredrik Langesgate 2. Exceptions are private tours. If your AirBnB address is outside the city center (more than 1km driving from Scandic Ishavshotel) your pick up location is front of Scandic Ishavshotel, Fredrik Langesgate 2.
CANCELLATION: If for some reason You can’t participate on a tour You have booked, we have a cancellation policy. Cancellation policy is necessary to be able to offer the tours for reasonable price, fulfil obligations in front of our partners and protect ourselves for financial loss.
More than 14 days notice before the tour – 100% refund.
8-14 days notice before the tour – 60% refund.
1-7 days notice before the tour – 40% refund.
Less than 24 hours notice before the tour – no refund.
Greenlander can cancel the tour at any time, when the conditions are too dangerous to drive out or the likelihood to see the Northern Lights are very low. When Greenlander is cancelling the tour – full refund is made to participant.
No refunds in case the guest do not attend for the pick up or is more than 15 minutes late.
No refunds, in case we don’t see the lights.
No cash refunds, unless You initially paid for the tour in cash.
RESPECT OTHERS ON THE TOUR AND NATURE AROUND YOU: It is not allowed to disturb wildlife and nature. No littering. No alcohol consumption at the time of transportation and no alcohol consumption during any other time, if it’s disturbing anybody participating the tour.
CLOTHING: It is essential you are wearing proper clothing for each tour we provide. Please contact if you doubt what to wear. We will you provide you with clothing guidelines. Greenlander is not responsible for your insufficient clothing.
